Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 1 hour

Serving: 6 sliders

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup milk

One large egg

Two cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup BBQ sauce, plus extra for brushing

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Six slider buns

Six slices cheddar cheese

Pickles and lettuce for serving (optional)

Directions:

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, minced garlic, 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Mix everything until well combined. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 2 inches in diameter. You should get around 12 meatballs.

Place the meatballs on the smoker or grill, and smoke them for 1 hour or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Once the meatballs are smoked, remove them from the smoker or grill and brush them with some additional BBQ sauce.

Split the slider buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill. Assemble the sliders: Place a smoked meatball on the bottom half of each bun, then add a slice of cheddar cheese. Top with pickles and lettuce if desired. Finally, cover the top half of the bun.

Serve the BBQ-smoked meatball sliders warm, and enjoy!
